Did you know that the beer pitcher is perhaps the best way to serve your guests their beer? Yes, it’s true. If you are having a party for your adult friends, chances are that there is going to be alcohol served at the party.
Beer is one of the most popular choices for alcohol at parties, and sometimes, you will even see kegs being brought in to parties, especially fraternity and other college parties. These days, many people are enjoying a blast from the past, and setting up bars in their own homes, complete with beer taps.
Not Just Plain Old Glass Pitchers Any More
When most of us think about a beer pitcher, we think about something that holds about a gallon or so of liquid, and that is glass or plastic with a handle. Simple as that. Of course, when you are out at bars, you will probably see these pitchers with different beer logos on them, but this is the only thing that makes them different at all. Today, there are all kinds of different styles of beer pitchers, so you are not going to be stuck with the same old pitcher that you see in everyone else’s home bars, and other regular bars.
You can get all kinds of beer pitchers that come in many different styles, sizes and colors. You can find them in many different shapes, and not only are they great for serving beer and other drinks (kids love them because they feel like adults when you serve them fruit punch from a beer pitcher), they are often quite decorative, and can add to the room they are usually in. You can even find some really unusual beer pitchers that you may just want to use for decorations only.
Don’t Let Your Friends Drive Home Drunk
If you are having a really great party, and there is a lot of drinking going on, it is your responsibility to make sure that everyone finds a safe way home, and that they do not drink and drive. If necessary, set up spare beds and put blankets and pillows on the floor and let people sleep over, then go home in the morning when they are sober. If you are serving drinks in beer pitchers all evening long, chances are that there are going to be some pretty intoxicated people at your party, and you want to make sure that they stay safe.
When you are having parties where there is a lot of beer drinking going it, it comes in really handy to have a beer pitcher or two, or even more, around to serve the beer in, especially if you are serving beer on tap. When you are using a beer pitcher, you don’t have to keep on pouring drinks and playing bartender all night. You can just pour out a few pitchers, then relax and enjoy the party.
